Chittani putt is a small, rounded putt made from soaked and ground raw rice, cooked rice and flavourings such as cardamom and an egg. The vessel is heated, batter spooned into the depressions, a little oil poured in and covered with a lid. The chittani putt rises slightly and is flipped over once before it is ready to eat.
