Large terracotta pot for cooking curries. Food slow-cooked in these pots over a wood fire takes on an added depth of flavour. For dishes such as fish curry, the use of a terracotta dish is always preferred. In addition, food stored for short durations keeps well in these pots which was extremely useful in the days before refrigeration.
